Philly Poster Series

Introduction:

For this project the class I was in partnered with Art Star owned by Megan Brewster and Erin Waxman. They represent working studio artists and crafters from the Philadelphia area and beyond. All items are handcrafted within the US by individual artists or small production studios. We had the opportunity to create paper goods that could potentially be sold in the store.  

The theme was Philadelphia. The project revolves around the creation of a series of eye-catching posters featuring whimsical characters inspired by the retro, Cuphead, and rubber hose animation styles displaying popular foods in Philadelphia. From the beloved cheesesteaks to the mouthwatering soft pretzels, the iconic Philly Special, and fantastic water ice, every poster will capture the essence of these great foods in a nostalgic yet contemporary manner.
